So, if you upload the show with the DVD option, but you don't want your client to be able to buy it except going through you, how do you turn it off?

I see there's a place to turn it off on the ShowIt site, but when I turn it off, it's still, um, ON.

I don't get it.

its in the controls when you load the show. i think there is an option on the first customize tab and then also on the publish tab. I click it off on all my album proofing, but use it for all my other slideshows.

Ok, what I want to do is I want to load the show on the ShowIt DVD site, but then buy it FOR my clients -- I don't want them to be able to buy it.

So, do I create the show with the dvd option, but then just don't check the DVD button in the controls? How does the ShowIt DVD site know my show is available then?

I am not an expert and i'm sure there's an easier way but this is how I would do it.
1. create the show with DVD boxes (both) checked
2. upload the show
3. visit the show, click on the buy dvd link (this is only for it to find the back end of show it dvd.)
4. close that
5. go to show-it dvd and log in.
6. go to my shows
7. find the show i want to order and in the last column is the order show, click that
8. then order the show at "cost"

alternate step 7, click on the title of the show and edit the product settings with the actual dvd label and picture that is going on the inside front cover.

oh and after i order it, reopen SIW, deselect the dvd control panel button (last tab) and reupload overwriting the original set of files.

Then double check and make sure the dvd thing isn't there anymore.

You still have to set up the show on showitDVD (point to the folder where the show is) as well as upload a cover and DVD image.
