So I stumbled across this forum the other night and must say, I think this will be my new time consuming web activity

I've been on DPR and Fred Miranda for a while, but already I sense that the people on this forum seem genuinely helpful and caring towards other photographers. There are lot's elsewhere on the web that just like to sit and overly critique and say nasty things about other posters. Pretty depressing if you ask me.

Anyway, it's nice to be amongst friends! I'm an aspiring Wedding Photog from the Chicago IL area. I'm trying to "break into" the wedding area after being mostly an amatuer landscape/portrait/whatever artist. Already I've seen many of DJ's images and others on this site that are truly inspirational. And I just ordered the Nitorix Lomo script HAHA

Welcome. As others have already said (or, rather, written), this is a different kind of place. There aren't even any set rules that you can't flame people. It just doesn't happen. Well, I did call Reuben a pretentious pig once, but he deserved it. ;-)
