Hey this is Andrew. We've been asked to do some model shoots for a hair salon in town. They are remodeling and want us to do all the pictures for their new brochure as well as shoot some models they are going to hire after they have their hair and makeup all done up, and they'll use those to decorate their walls. The owner also said that some of the shots might get published. I'm not sure where or how long or circulation or anything like that.
Anyway, I've never done something like this, and after much thinking and debating on pricing and limited versus unlimited usage rights, and having to draw up some kind of contract for all of that, I'm kind of thinking that the best way to go is to just have set rates under an unlimited usage sort of contract. But I was wondering if anybody wanted to throw in their two cents.
I also need a contract. Does anyone have a contract that might suit these needs that I could steal from you. Thanks guys.

Hey Andrew...
Yes, the unlimited-usage and set rate is def. the easiest way to go if you don't want to worry about the details. Unless they're a major publication or agency...then charge them for EVERYthing... it's expected.
One thing though... make sure you have all of them fill out a MODEL release... and a location release too... even if the salon says they're only using it for their own stuff and there is no need. Always good practice - just incase so you're not liable:)
I generally charge per hour (including set-up / take-down time for on-location shoots) and then charge per digital "negative" I give them. Or, if they'd like, they can buy the whole CD/shoot from me for a very hefty fee. They usually do this and it's out of my hair. Sure beats weddings on bringing in quick $$s with minimal headache!!
Hope this helps! That'll be a fun one for ya'!

Thanks that would be so great if you had those releases/ contracts. Whatever you got will save me the time of having to type something up. Thanks Thanks.
