I don't listen to a lot of mainstream radio since there really isn't much to listen to here in BFE, so a lot of the new stuff on my iTunes playlist comes from internet radio or from the dance shows I shoot for the Community School of the Arts.
Examples:
Ramalama (Bang Bang) by Roisin Murphy
The Minstrel's Prayer by Cartel
The World's Greatest by R. Kelly
And stuff I hear at weddings, like Steady as we Go by Dave Matthews Band.
Where do you find yourself picking up songs to listen to?

I get new music from my kids (not always recommended for the weak at heart!) and from Matt's constant music discoveries.

Disaster looms! Yesterday a federal court denied a plea to delay the massive increase in rates webcasters must pay the record labels. This means that, absent immediate Congressional action, the new ruinous royalty rates will be going into effect on Monday threatening the future of all internet radio.
This is a very dire situation and I'm writing to ask one more time for your support. The effort you've made over the past four months has been extraordinary and has forced the rapid introduction of the bill, but the committee process has been sluggish and we need to once again remind the representatives of the urgency of this issue. This is perhaps the most important phone call you can make for us.
Please call your Congressional representatives in the House and the Senate and ask them to force immediate action on the Internet Radio Equality Act and bring the bill to a vote. It is critical that their phones begin ringing off the hook starting early in the morning. If it's busy, please try again later.

Ooh I'm totally LOVING Pandora.
I really like that it finds stuff that's similar to the stuff I already know I like -- that's very useful!

I love searching on the iTunes store. They have iMixes and all kinds of playlists. And when you look up an artist you like it will recommend other artists you might like as well. Have fun!! It's addicting

This is a. online station where DJ's still pick their own music, which is a real rarity in southern California.
The music is very eclectic. If you try it & don't like it, try it later with another DJ. I never get bored on with their selections.

I'm kind of nuts I guess. I listen to a lot of pod-casts and audio books.

When I have "free time" (HA) I like to browse Last.fm and MySpace to see what music my friends are listening to.

You can check out my last.fm favorite list on my blog... it has a cool little widget that goes with it!
