OK MAGAZINE
I think I slept for 12 hours straight last night. I couldn't believe how tired I was... I guess it was because I didn't arrive home until 4am Paris time. Maybe that has something to do with it... LOL...! I don't know how Bob is doing it... he's still in Paris doing a workshop with DJ for Planche Contact. Bob said it's going great! I'm so glad to hear that. I can't wait for him to come home Friday. My beautiful, niece, Michele and her husband, Joe, watched our kids for us for 10 days! What a blessing it is to have them in our lives. Between them and my Mom, who lives in Florida, I don't know what we would do without them. They are truly what makes traveling possible for us. So, a HUGE thank you to my family!!! Our kids, Bobby and Alli, came home today and we were all so excited to see each other. I missed them so much!!!! It was the hardest thing to be away from them so long. At one point during our trip, I hadn't talked to them in 2 1/2 days. We were so busy and with the time difference it was just so hard. There were nights we would come back from an all day and night shoot that I would instantly hit the bed and fall asleep! I'm so glad it's over. I'll never forget the sigh of relief that Bob, George and I felt sitting on the steps of the castle at 8am the day after the wedding while we were waiting for our ride back to the hotel which was an hour away. It almost felt like a weight had been lifted. We were all so nervous that someone was going to leak a photo to the press of Eva in her dress. I'm so happy that everything went so well. My understanding is that their will be an Australian and UK edition of wedding as well. I'm looking forward to seeing which images they chose. Of course, I wanted them to chose all the beautiful moment photos, but I think what will appear are all the celebrity images and images where people are looking into the camera. That's okay... we're just thrilled to even have this opportunity!
I must give a huge shout out to Mindy Weiss.

Mindy from Mindy Weiss Party Consultants in Beverly Hills called me today to say thank you and the first thing that came out of my mouth was "I should be calling you to say thank you!". I just don't even know where to begin... Mindy is the most amazing woman you'll ever meet. She's so calm and so together... it's unbelievable! I sat in the planning meeting at the castle on Monday and the first thing she said when she began the meeting was "I wanted to thank each and everyone of you for your hard work. It is an honor to work with you." I was so happy to know that she was so appreciative and the event wasn't anywhere near beginning. She has an incredible team that works with her. During the meeting (which I have to tell you was the first meeting of this kind that I ever attended), I think I had to pull my chin off the ground several times because I could not believe the amount of detail that it took to pull off an event like this. Timing down to the exact minute. The details of the linens, the food, the flowers, the music, the photography, etc... it was seriously mind blowing! We were so honored to be working with her and her team. I knew the event was going to be seemless! Mindy and her staff had it down! So, here's to you Mindy! Thank you, thank you, thank you... a million thank you's for this incredible opportunity.
We received the nicest email from Adam Williams from OK Magazine...
"I hope you’re well and resting back in Chicago. I was supervising Kevin and the guys through the whole of the distribution of this deal and it was a great team effort. We are getting some great feedback from all our clients and editors praising the quality of the work. Please pass on our thanks to the whole Lastoria team for this effort. You can be sure that we will be recommending you for other editorial work if the opportunity presents itself. We have handled a lot of weddings and photographers and your operation was very slick." and another email that said... "Talk soon and you can be sure ill recommend you to all my clients worldwide."
What a compliment!!!! We all truly worked so blessedly together. OK Magazine was amazing! We worked with Ruth Hilton and Kevin Collins at the castle to make sure everything went smoothly with the edit and transmission. They had an amazing team to work with as well.
I can't post any images on the wedding until Bob comes back from Paris, he has all the images with him. I'm so mad at myself because my last night there I sat up until 3am going through all of Bob and George's images to pick ones that I could post on our blog. I saved them to the desktop thinking I would work on a blog entry while on the plane. I forgot that it was Bob's laptop I was on and not mine. So, when I turned on my laptop and they were not there, I was like "ugh!!!!". They were mostly details and some funny paparazzi photos because we can't run any images of Eva & Tony until after OK Magazine runs theirs. And after that, I'm not 100% positive what we can run. We own the rights to our images, but it's most important to us that when we do put images on our website or blog that we are sensitive to our client's approval.
Today, OK Magazine is running the cover image of this weeks issue. It's a beautiful image of Eva and Tony taken right after they said I do at the church on Saturday. The only requirement OK had was to make sure the image would work with their OK logo requirements.

When I returned home from Paris to find hundreds of emails and so many posts on our blog, I was truly overwhelmed. I want to say thank you so much for all your support and encouragement during our trip. Mostly I want to thank you for all your prayers! As I know those are what got us through the week! God is such an important part of our lives. When I made the connection, the real connection, with him almost 3 years ago, it changed my life. Once I truly realized who was responsible for all the blessings in my life, my life grew became much more fulfilling. I wish that it would have happened sooner... I'm just glad it happened at all. God is good, he is our Father, he wants good things for us all. I will forever live by his word.
