Full Version: CS3 auto settings?
OpenSourcePhoto > Digital Photography > Post Processing > Bridge

So, I had CS2 and my workflow was great- had everything set to auto and had my presets and editing was quick...mostly DJ style workflow

Now I just got some new MACs and had to upgrade to CS3 because I heard CS2 sucks on intel macs but I can't figure out how to have auto setting and get presets to make them look pretty

I open bridge and all the photos are really ugly- either too blue or too orange and weird exposures
if I try camera raw defaults that does nothing, I can't get an auto default setting that looks good, I hit default and it looks terrible, I hit auto it looks terrible,

The photos looked great in camera and they llok good in CS2 on my PC but CS3!?!

Anyone figure out how to set up bridge so it opens the thumbnails as they should look. Anyone have a workflow like DJs in CS3. DJ what are you doing? I want to use my auto settings and presets but the images just don't look good.

In CS3 you can get auto settings by double clicking on the little slider for exposure, brightness, etc.

When I was messing around with it the other day, I couldn't figure out how to apply auto settings to a whole group of images, though.

Hi Sofia,

That is correct. I have a similar workflow and now I am having to open images in ACR to apply my presets. I have figured out what looks good on my D200 images and have created a Default Camera Settings for mine, but the presets don't show up under the right-click menu like on Bridge on CS2. Check out this thread for some additional details. It appears that under CS3 in Windows the presets are available, but not in the Mac version.

I am still waiting for an update to fix this issue.

Hrm, double clicking doesn't seem to work. Where are you double clicking?
