Full Version: Turning off the auto corrections
OpenSourcePhoto > Digital Photography > Post Processing > Lightroom

After importing, I've noticed that LR is automatically correcting my images when I click on them in the library. The problem is that I don't like what it's doing to a lot of them. How do I turn that option off? I've looked for quite a while and can't figure it out, so hopefully someone out there knows.

hey ryan,

don't know if they changed the location or not. But in version 1.1 go to Edit/prefrences/presets/ under default devlope settings check the box for auto tone.

Well, I couldn't find that on 1.0, so I downloaded 1.1, and turned it off.
Now, it seems like the images are still already auto corrected. Is there any way to get them back to how they originally were? Or is my only option now to re-import all the images?

Create a preset that has ALL zeros for the values.

Click that preset on the first image.
Press Ctrl A
Press Sync

Wait a few minutes.

Now you should be at 0's. If your images still look like poo, close LR and open it back up - chances are they will look fine. Or if you're shooting RAW, quit adjusting things in cam. wink.gif Make a 0 preset and import all the files with it (on the import dialog)
