Okay, so like it often does - LR quit unexpectedly. Unfortunately, this time it was while I was trying to upgrade to 1.1 and while it was upgrading my catalog (whatever the heck that is ) Now, when I open LR, there is nothing there - no pictures at all. I know I could re-import and all of the photos would still have the xmp attached, but I just performed a backup right before this and there should be a way to just use that backup, right? But how?

Anyhow, if anyone knows what I need to do, could you please post some instructions?
