Full Version: When clients order from online proofs

I know many photographers (including myself) stray away from providing clients with the 4x6 proofs because of the cost -- and it detracts from the client buying the images when they have a hard copy in their hands.

I've got a rare client that doesn't care about my policy and wants them anyway, so I'm charging her for them so that it's worth my time, and I'm having my logo and website printed at the bottom of every 4x6 on the front. Okay, that's standard.

My question is: Do any of you keep your contact info on the actual pictures people order from you online? When I give images to a vendor (either via email or a physical copy), I absolutely have my info on there. But I was contemplating doing this for the photos, too. Would this be a big "no-no" if it were tastefully done? Or should I just stick to having my info on the front of the images I give away for free?

Thanks
Aaron

If you're charging her so that it's worth your time, then don't put your logo on them. I have to say as a client if I bought pcitures that had logos all over them, I'd be PISSED.

Charge enough that you don't care, and give them nice images.
