A client brought a proof book into the studio this week from 4 years ago. It took my breath away. There they were, my old hasselblad 6x6 squares and they looked soooooooo good. The mom was bragging on the square format without me saying anything about them. She brought it up.

Just curious, does anyone convert their wedding images to square or is that a big no no due to the loss in resolution?

btw- What can't someone come out with a DSLR in square format?


I'm not talking about a Ixpress $10grand back for my manual focus Hasselblad lenses. I am talking about a honest to goodness, affordable, autofocus DSLR.

A Photoshop guru up at Brooks showed me the batch crop tool in Adobe RAW! It's unbelievable and if you have a series of pics you want square you could do it pretty much automatically!

I agree that square is nice but I don't wanna have to carry around a second camera to get it.
