So I got my first masonit mounted print the other day from WHCC. One of the edges is distinctly raised with a lip--looks like it happened during cutting. It's pronounced enough that I don't want to give this print to my client--it doesn't look finished well.

When I talked to WHCC they said that's the way it works--Styrene too because of the preasure they are under during the cutting process. (they were great with the customer service though and shipped me a new one ASAP)

Is this normal? I really liked the finished product, and don't want to use matboard--I had them redo this print with a foamboard and it looks great--I just worry that it might be too thick for my client or easily damaged.

How do your styrene and masonit usually come? Should I just use these options when I plan on doing the framing as well?

Thanks!

I haven't gotten the masonite board, but I ordered a bunch of 11x14's for an aerial photography client on the styrene board and was quite pleased with the results. I now mount all of my prints larger than 8x10 on styrene board, unless otherwise requested.
