I LOVE it!!

How fun Nate!! So, did the bride know the day of the wedding or will it be a surprise??
Did you shoot these with a 100 macro lens?

June 29 2007, 05:44 AM
That's about the coolest thing ever. I can't wait to hear what the bride says. You know she had to have spent so much time coming up with a cool idea for her center pieces and to have it integrated in her photos that way is just awesome.

Ha, thanks everyone - the best part is seeing the brides face when she sees the shot (this hasn't happened yet

) It will prolly be nothing compared to the old folks at our table when they realized we had taken the rings off the couple's hands :woot: :woot: It's fun to be young(er).

I tried this once, but was nabbed by the MOB before the first 'ker-plunk' could be heard.

These shots are so awesome to see! It's everything I thought it could be....plus your fish is way cooler than mine would'da been.
Admit it, though, you made him smile. Wait-I don't want to know. You did, right? No, don't tell me.......

That really does rock

I thought about doing that once but the vases were really deep (like my entire arm would have been in the glass positioning thr rings) and I was afraid of getting busted.
You've totally inspired me to not care about getting busted now.
I loooooooooove it

Thanks y'all
Mark - fish and turtles have a special connection

Ginger - I don't think he was smiling because I was herding him around with a pen.
Melody - our motto is "don't ask, don't tell"
Dan - we took the rings at the reception, soooo.... nevermind

Or there is the saying I have heard many husbands say ( of course not mine

) ....
it is easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission

Great stuff, Nate!

That is soooo AWESOME! I love it!
LOL about the old folks! I co-shoot with a photographer who is from an older generation and it totally cracks her up that I can get the B&G to give me their rings every time! She said she NEVER would have had the guts to ask them! LOL

Wow, what awesome shots!!
Although, I must say I always feel a little sorry for centerpiece fishies. I hope somebody takes them home and gives them a good life. (I do have two friends who took a bunch of goldfish home from their brother's wedding - they are still alive and HUGE after five years!). Especially since that's a Platy and they're not adapted well to living in still water without oxygenation. So I hope he was OK!
But the shots are amazing.
Hey, maybe I need to invent and patent a long, plastic ring hook for just this purpose. Wouldn't it be a lot easier than dunking your arm? It could be telescoping, so it could cope with any vase.

Thanks ladies

Libby - we took two home last year. We named them after our b&g. When the 'groom' (fish that is) committed suicide, we let the 'bride' go free. We had a good laugh over it with the couple
