I'm freaking out and pinching myself all at the same time! DVD 1 is actually here and ready to order!!!!

The DVD turned out better than Brian and I even imagined! The cover art and layout are beautiful! The printing of the images is AWESOME (and I'm super, super picky!!) The booklet of exercises that I included are so fun to read, and I've read through it a million times! I'm dying! I can't wait for you to get yours! Brian and I sat and went through the whole DVD to make sure all the menu items worked, the Special Features are all in place, the music is so cool! I seriously can't believe it's here and this beautiful! And wait till you see the trailer for upcoming workshops! So excited!!!

Just so you know, we have a team working on them today and tomorrow, getting them addressed, packaged and ready to ship. I'll let you know when the first one ships!

If you haven't ordered your copy yet, we've got them in stock! YEAH!!!

**Click Here** to order your own copy of Refuse to Say Cheese and Capture the Story, a DVD for parents to learn how to document their children's lives with the camera!

Here's the cover art, the text and layout on the back cover (my favorite!).

I've been staying awake at night the last several days wondering what the heck I'm doing. smile.gif Ever have that feeling? I spent hours on the phone and over email with Walmart connections and Best Buy buyers this week, and i totally feel like we're going up against the camera names and brands that have been putting out instructionals and tutorials forever.

It's all kind of overwhelming, but what do we have to lose. I think this first DVD is unique in so many ways since a lot of the content draws from my background as a writer. I think parents will totally have fun. And women especially will feel spoken too. But you know when you pour your heart into something, and then you start to freak out about whether or not people are going to connect...biting fingernails now. smile.gif

Thanks for your support OSP! You'll even find yourself in the Special Thanks section! Couldn't do it without you guys!

Brian and I thought about making the price point $1000, but we couldn't see it flying in retail very well. smile.gif Consumers don't seem to get how valuable this stuff is! smile.gif

Oh man Dan! You know how to make me feel really, really bad! I've got to make it up to you somehow! I'm sure you get in the dog house enough with out my help! smile.gif

LOVE it! The whole package...the marketing, the concept, everything!

And on another note, it is so refreshing to continue to see the bold moves you've made and continue to make to grow your business...the honesty you show in your experiences and how true-to-self you seem to stay. All the best to you and Brian smile.gif

Yeah, I know the route well. Don't feel bad (just hurry up and send the disc LOL) ... any other Mother's Day present also probably would have taken me as long. (Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand, FWIW, I'm still waiting on my Father's Day present...too!)

Katie, thanks so much for what you wrote. God must know I needed it at this moment.

I'm sitting here working on a press release that is schedule to go out tomorrow morning. We're working with a publicist. Crazy story b/c I had looked and looked for one months ago and just didn't feel peace about any of them. Then the other day we're gardening and this guy and his wife walk by with their dog. Turns out he's a publicist, loves the DVD concept and wants to pitch it everywhere.

It's a risk and investment, but I feel like if we're going to do this, we've got to go for it when it makes sense. But I'm totally self talking every other minute and feeling more nervous than I probably need to and especially want to. I keep asking myself what I'm nervous about? Failure, dissapointment, expectations not met, feeling rejected?, or maybe I'm afraid of success...who knows. Can anyone relate? smile.gif

Seriously, your post means the world!

I hear ya! We've recently leased a space and are moving forward on growing our kids business...one of those moves that we kept going back and forth on. Too much of risk? Stretching ourselves too thin? But is there ever a better time?

My brother-in-law Matt had a great analogy for this flip-flopping we were doing. He compared our hesitation and fears to that in whitewater kayaking...you know you like the adventure of running the river, yet you've found yourself in this bundle of nervous energy, anticipating the rapids and doubting everything. But once you're in that situation, navigating the river - that energy just feeds itself and all those fears disappear, replaced instead by that proud feeling, learning something new, really tasting life to it's core.

While I can't say whitewater kayaking has grown into a full-time hobby happy.gif , there is some truth in that. It's fun to go where you've never been...to find that energy in midst of the chaos and the "are we really taking on all of this??!"

So many doors are bound to open for you in ways that wouldn't without risk. you've got it girl!

I love this analogy! So true! And I'm so excited for your risk and new venture! It's huge! Totally proud of you too! You have to keep us updated!

It's so true! Can you imagine the slideshow all our kids will have at their weddings someday! smile.gif You'll have their fiance's photos be normal snapshots, and then our kids photos will come on. It'll be so funny! The best part of this whole DVD is seeing how excited Pascaline and Blaze are! They LOVE watching it! It's so funny to me! They've seen it a million times, and they watch the bloopers reel over and over again and just laugh together on the couch. How cool is that? They think I'm even cooler these days after seeing the DVD. That is something I never guessed we'd get out of this, and honestly, it makes it all worth while!
