All excited about LR 1.1, I decided to re-import some of my shoots to see how it handles my RAW files, which I had previously mentioned turn a sort of muddy dumbed down yellow tone when I import them. Well, now I only wish thats what was happening... This is much worse!

I had this problem a long time ago with LR Beta 2 and 3, but NEVER 4 and NEVER LR 1.0. Check out what it does to random files!

This happened to about 5 images out of 100 or so on this shoot... no adjustments were made, and no adjustments can fix it! All I can say is THANK GOD FOR DVD BACKUPS because when I had this problem before, it actually corrupted the RAW files and they were unusable in ANY program. This is not good. Can someone help me go back to LR 1.0 before I F*^)@%k up more images with LR 1.1?

If you open the LR 1.1 install folder that you downloaded, there's a READ ME file in there. IIRC it talked about how to go back to ver 1.

I am no LR expert, but what about deleting the "version" and reimporting the "master" file into LR? I think what is corrupted is just the set of instruction LR creates and not the main image.

David, I switched back to LR 1.0... a fairly easy process which was listed in the readme that Troy pointed out.

Luckily it was just lightroom spazzing out... none of my files were messed up. HOWEVER, I do caution everyone about this matter and I want to reiterate the importance of non-hard drive backups BEFORE importing anything, as I did lose a bunch of photos to LR beta 3 destroying them last summer. Luckily they were just test images, but it still sucked big time. Oh well, I guess I'll be waiting for LR 1.2... or 1.1.1
