Fraid I havent heard of that - except for 'Lara Bingle' who appears on the badly marketed
'where the bloody hell are you' australian tv tourism adverts.
(actually lost tourism when plugged at the asian market!)In which case, I wouldnt mind having a bingle in my car

Well that really takes the cake! You haven't HEARD of the term 'bingle'????
Hmmm...maybe it's not used as much in the city, but it's certainly very Aussie. Bendigo isn't exactly out in the sticks, but that's a term we use fairly frequently. (Not that I have LOTS of car accidents or anything...ha ha ha)
Check it out... when I looked up 'Aussie slang' on Google I found it on dozens of pages.

bingle
noun
(Austral)
1. slang
A car-crash; a smash.
Etymology: 1950s; used in World War II slang to mean ‘a skirmish'.I really like Aussie slang. I admit there was a time I found it embarrassing, but now I'm a bit older, I love it. It's bloody colourful mate!
