I got my first Mac (20' iMac) about two months ago. I LOVE IT!!! My only complaint so far is that it only has three USB ports. One of the slots gets taken by the keyboard and one by the printer. That only leaves one open slot for anything else. I usually leave my card reader in that last slot.
I really, really, really miss having a right click button on my mouse so I want to get a new mouse. It is just about impossible to find a wired mouse these days...they are all wireless. If I get a wireless mouse, that will be another USB port that I will need. Right now the mouse is connected via one of the USB ports on the keyboard.
Can I put the wireless USP reciever in the USP slot on the back of the keyboard? Or would I have to use a slot in the computer?

You can use the keyboard's USB hub. We went with Apple's wireless keyboard and mouse that works over Bluetooth. Just an idea that would free up another USB port.
But isn't your mouse a "mighty mouse"? It has a right button. It just "knows" when your finger is on the right button rather than on the left. Check out your system preferences to play around with it.

I think it is a mighty mouse. It has a secret right button??? I'll have to research that some more when I get home tonight. Thanks Adam!

there is a secret right click button. if you're accustomed to normal two button mice, it will take some time getting used to, but its there!
under the blue apple at the top left corner of your screen, click "system preferences"
now, click "keyboard and mouse" which is usually somewhere near the print and fax icon... thank god these pref panes don't get crowded with crap like windows! [/rant]
under keyboard and mouse, click the mouse tab. i believe if you have a mighty mouse, you will see a pane for secondary button or something like that. i'm trying to remember now since i've got a microsoft *gasp!* mouse connected to my mini, and a wacom here on my G5... so no mighty mouse pane. i did do a help search though and thats what i came up with. anyway, under the mouse settings is where you will find secondary button or secondary click settings... also there might be a mighty mouse pref button to make additional settings changes.
hope that helps!
i can plug in my mighty mouse and help you out if you'd like... but i think you'll be fine ;-)

Thanks Trevor. I'm sure I'll figure it out when I get home. I'm excited to be able to right click again!

And I don't even have to buy a new mouse...even better!
