I made a cross country trek (11 miles) to see Nathan yesterday. I just wanted to thank him for the help and for his time. I wanted to look at the Yervant software (very nice). Your work is beautiful Nathan (and Amber), I know you are going to make an impact.

One thing that I have always enjoyed about photography is the fact that most people share information. We all gain by this. As with most professions there are "givers" and there are "takers". Nathan and I discussed this yesterday. I think that most in the photography coummunity falls on the "givers" side. That is refreshing.

Isn't it awesome how we can share with one another and help eachother grow our business? Next time I'm up in Chattanooga I'm looking all you guys up! smile.gif

So what did you think of the software?
Nathan Holritz
You're too kind Greg! What he's not telling you all is that he brought over a sample proof album... and he's got some incredible work!

It is great that we can all share ideas, products, etc. I think that the people who seclude themselves and don't make the effort to network are hurting themselves!!!

You guys are sooooo right on!

I'm not sure I'd say most photographers are the way we are on OSP but I do think the wedding industry as a whole is one of the first photography related industries to recognize the amazing power of synergy and the fact that we can be much more successful if we act interdependently !

You guys rock!

That's awesome you guys! I'm jealous!

If only there were people in the SB area for me to get together with.....

Hey Adam there are a TON of photographers in Columbus. You just have to look in the right places smile.gif There might not be any on this board, but there are lots and lots working there. There used to be an awesome photography club called the focus group. It was a mix of pros and amateurs but they really had it going on. I used to go to that a few years ago. I think their website is gone and the club might have dissolved, but I know where you can find out. Go to Midwest Photo Exchange (on High st) and ask for Abdi Roble. He's such a great, positive guy. He'll know for sure when the meetings are a happening.

Or you could always go to a PPofO meeting... although I've never been to one... I can't remember their names for the life of me right now, but I know I've at least had contact with a few nice people from columbus who were wedding shooters. Start networking! It's great to have friends in the business! smile.gif

Yeah, I know Abdi. It's funny, when I walk in there Carol (at the register) always says "hi, Adam,"From the front of the store (I usually park in back). I'll ask around. I've been invited to the PPO meetings but they're always in the evening. I know, I know, but my evenings and nights are usually reserved for family. I try to get most of my work done during the day.

One of these days I'll actually join the PPO, I've heard it's pretty good.

But thanks for the encouragement.
Reuben
You are lucky to have such great stores there... there's really only one down here... and it's nothing like Midwest or that one in the old church (dont remember the name). My brother in law bought some used light stands, some hot lights, and umbrellas (I think two of each) for less than $70 in there.
