Full Version: Lightroom Sorting issue

I've downloaded our latest wedding - we shoot with multiple cameras but synch them all ahead of time.

I download the cards onto my HD into folders for that event and then add the folders into LR.

I have them in subfolders for each camera so if there are any similar file names they don't overwrite each other. When i view them in the grid view each folder sorts by capture time correctly, but when I view the master folder so I can look at them all, it starts with the middle of my reception pics. I've checked the times to make sure they are correct.

Do I need to rename the files to get rid of the camera assigned name? It is weird that they sort in their own sub folder correctly but not when i look at them in the master folder.

Any thoughts?

You should be able to highlight all then Sort by capture date while in the main view (at least that works for me ... I'm on a MAC with the most recent version of Lightroom) smile.gif

True...you should be able to go the folder containing all the other folders, select all, then sort by capture time.
