I've been looking at some self-mount albums...is it really that easy? Just stick and go? Do you need to spray the pages with anything to protect them?

Thanks!

I think it depends on the album company and the prints.

I use a self-mount album that really is "that" easy. Peel and stick. I use the highest quality prints I can buy, with lustre coating and linen texture. Very nice looking end result.

If I can ask, what is the durability of the album? Can it take a small beating?

Well, see, mine are Art Leather, so I don't know if I'll still be able to get them, not that they were all that easy to get in the first place, but yeah, they're durable. I've been using the iMount ones as samples, taking them around everywhere in the back of my car and letting little children handle them and so far not a single issue of peeling or anything like that at all.
