Can anyone recomend a way or a program (preferably free) to convert .mp3 and/or .wav files to .swf format? FYI...I'm on a new Intel iMac running OSX.

Thanks!

The only one I know of is this: http://swf-avi-convert-free-converter.swfa...m.qarchive.org/

For most of my conversions, I use http://vixy.net/ but it doesn't offer conversion to .swf, I'm afraid.

Thanks Hope, but it looks like that program only converts .swf to .avi. I want to convert from .mp3 or .wav to .swf. The search continues... rolleyes.gif

you dont really "convert" mp3 to swf. You embed an mp3 in a fla file then compile to create an swf. I can't imagine how a "converter" even does this. lol If you don't have Flash MX or something you may need to send it to someone who does.

Thanks Matt. I email Winklet and they said that they would do this for me for free. I like them already and I have not even bought a website from them yet. smile.gif

LOL - same here. I downloaded the trial version of Adobe's Authorware and found some instructions. But I think I'm just going to let them do it.

I have a winklet template and use a MAC - this is what I used:

Sound Converter

Not free, $14 but worth it - it works!

Hope this helps!

Thanks...I'll have to check that out. One of the new Winklet websites actually uses .mp3 files now so I may not need the converter after all.
