Full Version: My new ride!

I finally traded in my Nissan and picked up a new FJ Cruiser for my birthday and I had to show it off!

Now my problem is that I found some really cool after market stuff online and my list keeps growing. I'm afraid it's going to be an unending episode of "Pimp My Ride"! But this is probably my favorite car ever. It reminds me of my first car, a 1979 Scout II that had 16000 original miles on it when I got it in 1998.

Mine looked just like this but it was school bus yellow instead of white and no A/C. Somehow I think I'm going to like the FJ much better. ;o)

The second one is much much cooler than the yellow one!!!

Very stylish.

Congrats.

If I weren't a Jeep guy, I'd consider the FJ. Gary Fong has his nicely built for the snow up in Canada. Nice buy.

Niiice!

I want an FJ real bad. And also an RX-8, and a Vette, and an Acura RSX, and a Suburu WRX Sti, oh, and the Honda Civic Si would be a nice addition, and, and, ....

Congrats on the cool new car! thumbsup.gif

I was sitting in the parking lot at Walmart the other day while my wife ran in to get a few groceries. There was one exactly like this parked nearby. I found myself with vehicle lust (doesn't happy very often) because it just looks like a photographer's vehicle... though rain, sleet, snow, dirt, mud, sand, on-raod, off-road, no-road, etc.

Sweet ride man!

I have been eyeing on of those since last September (I think) they are just so cool looking! I personally want a silver one.....but I am not getting on, so I will love your yellow one for now smile.gif!

Hey Rox! I wish we had a smiling waving guy!

Ps I think of you everytime my daughter takes a bath with one of your ducks! smile.gif

Thanks guys! This is my first Toyota but from what I'm finding online it should last as long as my Nissan did, and now my dogs can go for a ride without us throwing a big comforter over the leather in the FX.

I can't wait to get it into some sand! We don't have many rocky roads down here in Florida, so my version of off road will have to be the beach... oh darn! ;o)

It's funny you say that, I was looking for an old Scout to restore a few years ago and found a few in pretty good condition for around $1000. Now you can't get a good one for under $25k. Somehow the word got out.

My brother once took the Scout mudding and it went like a champ through mud up to the door handles. It was just bigger than a Bronco II but it had a 345 under the hood so it was really overpowered. I guess that's what you get when a Farm Equipment company builds a car. It's going to be hard to beat, but I'll take this Toyota with A/C and power windows over it any day.
