I was curious if anyone that uses CMD has been having problems with their CMD e-mail accounts.

The problem I am having is when a client sends an e-mail to me using our @studioainsley.com account. When they send it it shows up to us as they sent it 5 hours later then they did. For example: Clients sends us an e-mail at 10:22 am. I recieve it within a minute or so but the time it shows is 3:22 pm.

I have spoken to several members of CMD and the last word I got was that it is because the e-mail servers was not in my time zone and that it assigns the time zone were the server is located and there is nothing they can do about it. I find that hard to believe. How does .mac, gmail, yahoo, and every other email server handle that? And where in North America is their a time zone 5 hours ahead of me? I am in Central.

haven't you posted this same thing before? I mean with almost the exact same wording? Gmail handles it by having you give your time zone & synching you to that with a time adjustment. Obviously CMD doesn't.... CMD is a webhost & web designer primarily. I've spoken with them and the "only reason" they offer hosting at all is because some people don't have hosting and don't know HOW to get it. CMD would like to be out of the hosting biz - maybe that's why it's not a priority? So they can focus on the rest? I dunno.

Yes I posted this a couple of days ago on the end of a discussion about CMD. However it had been several days since their had been a post on that discussion by the time I added my question. I am not sure why you added that but there is your answer.

My main question was anyone else having this problem with their own CMD account since I was told they had never heard of this before.
