Hey OSP,

I've gotten quite a few emails asking about my lighting techniques used on my non-wedding website (http://www.josemandojana.com). I just had my first lighting workshop and it went really well and would like to extend the workshop to OSPers.

I attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena. Through my education there and years of assisting LA's top photographer's, I have developed a solid understanding of light.

The workshop will cover:
1. basic understanding of studio grip
2. lighting a white background the right way
3. overpowering daylight
4. key and fill ratios for portraits
5. uising a light meter

I will be happy to answer any questions about my own work or critique your portfolios (wedding or nonwedding). This workshop is not intended to teach you how to light with speedlight's. We will be using Profoto Generators.

The workshop is limited to 4 people. You will be shooting eachother, not models. The point is not to get you new images for your portfolio, but instead to make you feel comfortable with artificial and mixed lighting.

If you are interested, feel free to email me and I will send you a pdf with all the info including upcoming dates.

Thanks,

Jose Mandojana
