Ok, I can't stand how funny this story is to me so I have to share it with you guys because you will enjoy it too.
So a few weeks ago we shot a wedding up in Jacksonville, FL and there was a videographer there that was fairly new to the business. He's also a newly wed and he was really excited to tell us about himself. (I think this may be his main flaw)
He starts telling me about how he shot a wedding a few months ago where there was a bridesmaid that was trying to pick him up. He's an honest guy though and he turned her down, but he was really flattered by this whole thing and he got home and told his new wife that this girl was trying to pick him up. (Yea, dumb, but he's a newly wed and didn't know the consequences)
So of course his new bride is really upset. Infact she starts to question that this "new job" of his is really how he represents it. To her he's not really working he's fooling around with other girls. So he tells her that's not how it is, after all he is a nice guy, I met him and I'd beileve him. In fact he let's her pick a wedding out of his calendar so she can come along and see that he is just working.
(You can just see it coming can't you...)
So she picks a wedding at random. The date is set, she's going to the wedding with him to help and see that he is just working, there is no funny business.
The wedding goes as usual at a local catholic church. They have mass and the whole bit and the video work is going well. Then they rush off to the reception, he grabs his gear and I'm sure she's starting to feel OK about the whole thing... then they walk into the reception at a nudist colony. Everyone is walking around completely nude!
At this point I can't stop laughing at him. He's completely screwed and there is nothing he did to deserve it but it's funny as hell and I can't stand it. But at the same time I really feel his pain, and I'm sure you do as well.
So to this day, his wife does not like his new job and there is nothing he can do to get out of it. I almost wish I could do something to help, but what do you do after that?
I just had to share...
