Okay, so I just had a baby 3 weeks ago and we named him Caleb. I, of course, announced it on my blog. Well, I have been getting tons and tons of hits a day from people searching 'baby Caleb' and couldn't figure out why until one of my friends on myspace posted a link to this blog about a baby named Kaleb who was shaken at the daycare he was at on May 9th. He's not doing well. He's blind and can't keep his body temperature at the right place, etc. So here's my question. Should I put some kind of link for people trying to find this baby on my blog? There is a site set up to help with medical costs etc, the parents are pretty young and of course this was unexpected. I'm feeling a little traumatized though. My brand new baby is perfect and here is this sweet little 6 month old who some hateful person has completely ruined. How can you just be so disrespectful and ruin someone??? Anyways, what do you think? Do you think people will even notice the link to the right site???

Oh, Colleen, that's terrible. I would go ahead and put up a link, if not only to say that you tried to help. If people are looking for that type of information, they will probably find it.

I think that you should put up a link on your blog so when they reach your site with your Caleb, they can see that they were misdirected and can click on a link on your blog to where they want to go.
And who knows, maybe you having a link can help their parents. I am so sorry, I also think that it is sick that some people out there can do that to an innocent child

I would put a link on your blog and maybe say some words of sympathy. It would be a courtesy to those looking for the other baby. I cannot fathom what could make a person do that to a baby.
