So this is a really stupid question.
If I want to search for multiple files in a folder how do I do it?
For example, in windows I used to be able to to do
'1.jpg','2.jpg' etc
or in Vista's search say something like '1.jpg' OR '2.jpg' OR etc
I just want to put in a string of image names in the spotlight search and be able to find them, and copy them
Does that make sense?
Andrew
So besides Peter, nobody has anything to add to this?
It seems so simple, yet I can't find an easy way to do this on MAC.

Are you looking for a Boolean search? Supposedly, the pipe ("|") operator is supposed to work as an "OR" in Spotlight, but I haven't had the greatest luck in getting it to work properly.
Here's one article about it. That said, Spotlight is very, well, spotty at best. Every once in awhile, it simply stops working. I have to reboot my Mac a couple of times, and eventually it comes back. Sometimes it simply doesn't find files that I know exist. Sometimes, it works perfectly. I have no idea why it works most of the time and why it occassionally hiccups, but I know I'm not the only person with this problem. Search for "Spotlight sucks" on Google and you'll see what I mean.
Hey Pete.
I tried ever fricken combination of BOOLEAN AND OR logic operators and nothing seems to work! It seems like its such a fundamental searching thing - don't know why I can't do it.
On a sidenote - when searching the web for this I found an article talking about all the fantastic ways you can search your MAC for files (including AND / OR logic operators) with Leopard
