I just dropped $1000 on Pocket Wizards, an AB 800, a huge softbox and a portable power unit in preparation for the senior photo season. I hate having to spend this kind of money when I don't have a single senior officially booked, but I thought it was needed equipment to take my work to the next level.

I made the right decision, right? Well, if I don't get any seniors this year, I'll have lots of stuff to sell. laughing.gif

I just dropped $1000...

If you researched it and came to the conclusion that you need those items to achieve the looks you want, then it is a good purchase. Just make sure you use them!

Good luck!

I own all those items and they are indeed a solid investment. I hope you're planning to have an assistant to lug that stuff around though.... ;-)

You cant go wrong with an alien bee, nor pocket wizards, nor portable battery power! Like they say, just be sure to use them and you wont even consider that pocket full of change you spent! Its like buying a bass boat, the first fish you catch costs you $50,000 per pound. The more you catch, the less per pound you spent!

Hmmm... sounds like the kind of question best asked before the money's spent. smile.gif

Out of that list the only items I have are the Pocket Wizards, but let me tell you they're worth every penny!
