Down here in SC we've had a wave of thunderstorms come through in the past 1-2 hours... Looks like the worst is behind us...
I come strolling through the kitchen whistling my favorite Wiggles tune and saw this... It BROKE MY HEART! I made a mad dash to the office and grabbed the cam... (almost killing myself in the process...

Then my Mom calls me and tells me about a "smoking tree" and she wants me to go and "check it out"... I first ask her what she's been smoking... And this is what I find... a branch has fallen from a tree and ... well you'll see...

It never burned up, but it sure did make a racket for a while...

Those first 3 shots are GREAT! good job catching it.

The tree is a little scary... I had a tree fall on my garage in a storm a couple years ago (was one of my very first blog posts). Amazingly did no damage to the roof, just made a huge mess... Glad yours didn't burn up!

Tiffany, Thanks! She is VERY cute! Alot of times I have to sneak up on her... `Cause when she spots me with the camera, she gives me a BIG ole grin and kicks her head to the side all pretty like! I have ALOT of those photos... I want more candids hanging in the office!

Hey Mark! Your right! Kids are TOTAL heartbreakers! I got a shot of her by our pool the other day sitting on a pool with her elbows on her little knees and her head in her hands... She had the look of..."I sure would like to be in that pool..."

Some of my favorite memories as a kid are when I played in the rain. Whether it was soccer games, or just in my neighborhood.

I LOVE thunderstorms! I remember as a kid running through the cornfield in the middle of a downpour... WAHOO!! the smell of fresh corn, and a summer rain... WOW there isn't much better than that!
That is... untill you happen to run up on a tee'd off copperhead while playing hide-n-seek in the cornfield...
