Is it going to be this scary every time I raise my prices? Thoughts on the strategy appreciated.

What were your prices before? Maybe that will help us formulate a better opinion. However, your current prices seem to just right for what you are offering.

In my opinion, it looks like you want couples to go for the Grace package and I think your pricing makes sense. Although I do feel that a $2K jump on the Audrey package was a bit steep, however, I don't know how many takers you had on that one for this year. If you got a lot of bookings at the Audrey package, then you are justified on raising the price.

My $.02

PS. This level of pricing (your 2008) is where I want to get to in the near future.

Looks fine to me Shane. And in comparing it to 2007, I'm liking the jump in prices.

However, I wonder if you've ever tried to really simplify it and offer a base collection only that is not so loaded, and then allow people to upgrade from there (if they want).

I'm sure you have, but I must ask - have you done a complete cost analysis with each package? It seems that the $2k jump in the Audrey package is necessary, you may need to go higher imo but the $600 bump seems too small on the Grace Kelly package.

And most people tend to book in the middle, so I fear that you may be losing some major profit here.

Hey Shane,

A couple of thoughts.

You're missing a line item in the Audrey package after the two 10x10 parent albums.

You have nice round numbers of 5500 and 4200 for the lower 2 packages, but then go to 8999 for Audrey. I'd either drop audrey to 8900, or bring her up to an even 9K. Just for the sake of uniformity.

Other than that, things look pretty slick to me.

Absolutely no offense intented to your work Shane - but do you have some stronger images for the brochure? I see the top image followed by an $8,999 price tag and I go "woah!! - a bit overpriced". I don't know, maybe I'm just reading too far into it - but my thought is that those two pictures on that brochure should blow people away.

The existing image looks a bit out of focus and a bit red in the faces, the one on the bottom - nice idea, but you can't really see faces. I dunno.

I know people won't be looking at the pics in just that way, but in my experience, the best way to get people sold on spending lots of money on photography is to really impress them with the pictures first, folllowed by the details second. Your price sheet has fine details - but it's a lot of detals - mostly text with somewhat weak visual punch.

Just an opinion - intended as constructive as possible. wink.gif

Thanks for the thoughts everyone... back to the drawing board!!!

I'll post version 2.0 later.

Kevin... Yeah, I kind of slapped those two pics there. I could definitely have used some stronger stuff.

I agree, with Kevin. Drop the pics.
