the cards aren't personalized per client per se. but she never makes them quite the same. and what she makes highly depends on her mood and the time of night. I have some really lovely victorian styled ones....and some really odd ones that are very abstract and dark. i have such extreme variety that i can pick cards that suit the personality of the client.
what makes it a boutique feel is that you can tell they are specially handcrafted (with stamps and paper and collaging, the envelopes are decorated etc)...and not mass produced. and they are just different than cards mos people have seen. i get a ton of compliments on them.
the more personalized attention & the better attention to detail, the more boutique you are.

you don't have to use cards to do it, just whatever you find that makes a difference for you. I don't quite have it all down yet, but i'm working on it.
