I keep hearing mixed reviews on the Lightsphere vs other diffusion methods, but I think I've decided to try it out. I figure it doesn't hurt to see if I can get a great deal while I'm at it smile.gif Any of you get one of these and decide it just doesn't fit your style?

I have the Lightsphere PJ with diffusion lid. The only time I use it is during slow dances, where I go around and take each couple’s photo. I’m close to each couple (because of the tight dance floor) so straight ceiling bounce causes eye socket shadows. For nearly all other photos I use remote slaves or horizontal bounce, which I can’t use on these photos because I need to beat the song ending.

If you want to get one, I’d try the whale tail because it should fit all flash heads. My PJ is made for my old 550EX and has a hard time staying on my current 580EX.

Thanks for the response Jeff. I've kind of been debating whether I need a fancy diffusion device at all or whether the "better bounce card" will suffice. I wonder if there's anywhere you can rent these things?

If you're already using the abbc check out his new one the Feather-light. He's got a youtube account now and you can watch the new video which is pretty easy enough to make at home.

We have a clear LS PJ for sale if you're interested. I'll even throw in a cloud diffuser for the top. $20 + 2 for shipping and it's yours.

PM me.

Thanks Damon - but I found one like 20 min ago on another board :-P I appreciate it though!
