I am trying to reorder my photos in acdsee by the time they were taken. I used 2 cameras in this shoot and I'm wanting to organize them based on the time. How do I do this? I am clicking 'sort by' and choosing date/time created but it keeps grouping them based on which camera was used. How can I get these files to merge together based on time and not camera?

sometimes I have this problem.... for me when i choose organize by 'date created' itll do it based on the time it was created IN acdsee.. not in camera. I'm not sure how to avoid this, but this may be your problem

use date/time original. not created.

Yea, Im an idiot. I spent an hour pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong. I synched my cameras before I left the hotel to the the exact second each. For some reason, one camera ended up an hour ahead of the other. I have no idea how, but it did! This was why it wasn't sorting correctly. Because I'm an idiot! I went ahead and manually put the photos in the correct order and re numbered them. So I'm good to go now. Feeling much dumber in the process!

doh you didnt have to do that - you can sort acdsee by camera and time-adjust by an hour on just the ones that are off. lol

Your on my speed dial, I should have just called you dude! LOL! It really only took a minute or so. They were all taken at the same time so I just had to find the spot to wedge them it. It wasn't bad.

nah it's not bad but it's easy to make mistakes or get lazy about moving them to the right order.

sort by:
EXIF
Camera
Model

Select the ones that are off.

Right click

Tools
Adjust image time stamp
Exif date/time original
Shift date and time by a specific number of hours
Correct the times
Adjust time stamp

Then
Sort by

Exif
Image
Date/time original

Done!
