Just received a call from a bride we just shot a few eeks ago. Her husband is in the marines and he has just been told they are shipping him to Japan next week. If we don't get the album to them by the time they leave, they won't be able to get it until they get home 2 years form now. Anyone know of any album companies that can print and bind a 20 page (40 sides) flush mount album lightning fast?

Though I can't fathom why you wouldn't be able to ship them an album to Japan.

I agree with Melody. Ship it to them in Japan.

I tried to tell them that I have no problem shipping it but apparently with the Homeland Security stuff now, Alot of things sent to military personell have gone missing and they don't want to risk it.

Zookbinders can do a rush and get it out by that time. You could try calling them. They do print and bind and the printing doesn't take any extra time. They do charge extra for the rush charge.

I just looked it up. Zookbinders offers two rush services. The first is a 30% additional charge and it is shipped within 7 business days of when they receive the order. The other rush is 50% additional and is shipped 5 business days from when the order is received. All rush orders are shipped two day air. I have found that Zookbinders almost always beats the times that they state, especially this time of year, so I would guess it would most likely go out sooner. If you talk to them about he circumstances, they may be able to help you get it out faster.

Thanks so much. I am working with a couple of companies to see how fast I can gt it back. I really appreciate it.

I have used zookbooks before, but they were really slow. I might call them again though

Odd, we have had fast turnaround times with them. The only time of year it has been longer has been from November until about mid January each year because of the Christmas rush. The rest of the year it has been less than their stated turnaround time most of the time.

I had a couple choose a Legend album from Millers a few months ago. Once I uploaded it, the album was here in 3 days! www.millerslab.com They aren't always that fast, but they normally get here within a week.

Hope this helps.

I used to use Candid2000. They offer the legend album as well as a new one called Tuscany which looks to be much nicer. They ship the album within 3 days of receiving your order.

They are inexpensive too.

Just curious...is there any possibility that she is just trying to get the album from you more quickly and taking advantage of the fact that they are moving? My husband is military - it sounds fishy to me.
Melody
VA has a two day turn around on rush orders for an extra 30 or 40%.

Oh yes I am sure of it, but I can't prove it, and so I have to take her word for it. I figured it out when I sent her the proof of the album pages for her approval. I rushed to get them done so that we could order it today. She just sent me some changes she wants made, and they are trivial stupid changes BUT she is the customer and what I do know is that the faster I get her the album the faster I get her out of my life.

anyway I got responses from quite a few companies and I have figured out a solution. I orderd a blank album from a company and they are overnighting it. I have a framing place here that will mount the pictures for me so I will have it completely finished by Thursday!

I really appreciate the response.

Oh, and after all of my research today I have decided that KISS is probably most defintaley the best company for albums. They called me back not 30 min after I e-mailed them. They have the rest of my album business from now on!
