I want to buy a wide angle L lens. But budget is kinda low right now since I am also planning on getting a 30D or a 20D. I read the reviews for the Tamron 17-50, people mentioned all the good stuff about it. So I decided on getting one of them instead the L.

Anybody selling one?

From what i've been reading the sigma 18-50 EX DC Macro well outperforms its tamron competetor. If you decide on getting one be sure to get the one with the Macro designation or you'll get the older version that isn't as good.

I'm not selling one (sorry, not of much help) but I just want to say that I got the tamron 17-50 2.8 for the same reason (not much budget, getting a 30d soon) and I love it. Having the ability to go to 2.8 has be so useful and I'm really happy with the lens overall. Good luck getting one!
