To cut a long story short, I'm going to Cyprus on Saturday for a working vacation & I'm trying to get a foot in the door with the younger generation that have plenty of disposable income. I received a call today from someone telling me a couple of vendors want some of my info on hand - problem is I have nothing available but business cards with UK contact details & a price list that doesn't work for Cyprus. So, it's 1.20am & I've been trying to "throw" something together but I $uck at designing anything. This is all I could come up with tonight & it's not grabbing me at all Suggestions please? I'm SO gonna hit the sack now & start again later...!

Without knowing the specifics of your target here, I'll take a stab in the dark based on your current design and what I know of your style.

Instead of saying "not all photographers are the same..." why not re-word it to something like:
"you're style is modern & unique - we got you covered ... Amorphia Photography"
-or-
"you're creative, modern & unique - we're a perfect match ... Amorphia Photography"

Or go really artsy and simple with a strong single image, your logo and web address?

I'll try to come up with some visual sample for you.

I like yours amorphia, but I think that your images make the a louder statement than your words. What Johnny has done here is point out your most awesome and known attribute... YOUR UNIQUE COMPOSITION!! That really stand out to me with this. I understand you wanting to possibly use one of your wedding photos, but you have such "strong" images that I would definately show more and speak less!! You are awesome girl!

Thank you for taking the time to put something together, you're an absolute star I definitely like the idea of one single image doing the talking for me although Tawny hit the nail on the head because I was thinking I needed to showcase more than one to draw people in. Anyways, you picked one of my favorite shots except it's meant to be the other way round (vertical!!) I'll have a little play with it again later today and see how far I get (I still need to pack & I leave tomorrow!)!

I'm glad you like it.
It's meant to look that way - it grabs your attention and forces you to decide what you want to look at. Hopefully it makes in memorable in the eyes of your prospect.

I still think you should simply use 1 very strong image to keep it simple and full of impact.
You could always do it double sided, right? Have a strong portrait image on one side, and a strong wedding image on the other.

Just avoid trying to explain what you do - allow the images and design to draw them in and get them to your site, once they're there they'll see that you're multi-talented.

I like something off the need/want thing too, like "You don't need it but you want it" "Need it, Want it, Get it", "Want it, Get it" or "What you Want AND What you Need"

or "When looks do matter"

Right, well, I'm leaving today - I managed to spend all of a measly hour on Photoshop yesterday & I don't have that much time today although the laptop is going with me so I may have another go on the plane.

As much as I love what you designed Johnny, the main vendor that's interested in working with me is all about weddings & not portraits so although I'd love to use the image you picked out, it's not going to work in this case. I will probably use something along the lines of what you put together for some other promotion though! Also I thought Frank's idea of your style was great but the Greek people just aren't going to get it!! I actually think Nathan's line is going to get the Greeks hook, line & sinker simply because they live to show-off. I'm not being horrible, after all I am Greek too! It's really how it is over there - it's all about out-doing the Jones's or should I say the Papadopolous's. Nathan, if you don't mind, I'd love to use it?!

I ended up with something half the size of A5 (I wanted it bigger than a business card but small enough to put in their pocket/bag). I tried to keep it simple & to the point as suggested - I think the first one is better of the two... for god's sake no one say neither coz I'm running outta time!!! And before anyone mentions this, I know borders are done to death but I kept a border on because it's NOT done at all in Cyprus. Also, I'm not using my logo coz it needs to get redesigned.
