oh congratulations!! definetly soon! your future wife might kill you for trying to put together something for the reception this close to the wedding, haha. smile.gif

but, i've really loved the ideas of a fanciful candy buffet, karaoke (if there's going to be alcohol, haha), a photo booth, video "confessional" booth (aka, well wishes for the couple), or even just a really good dj to keep everyone on their toes (providing dancing socks for the ladies is cute too). smile.gif

bestest wishes!

Jillian's ideas are great but if we had it to do all over again we would have had a live band over a DJ. Our DJ was really good -- he was a hip-hop DJ that I've known for a long time who literally has over 10,000 records -- but there's something about having a live band that just makes the whole thing a little more wild.

Edit: Oh yeah, don't forget booze. And don't skimp either. $600 at your local Costco or Sam's Club liquor store will get you enough top-shelf stuff to sufficiently douse about 200 guests. People also dance more when they're drunk/drinking. People dancing = more fun + better pictures.

Congratulations!

I helped photograph a really fun wedding where they had a hula hoop competition and a balloon pop where everyone tied balloons around their ankles and tried to pop everyone else's. The last person with a balloon won!

I know it sounds silly, but it was actually quite fun and made for some funny and cool pictures.
