Welcome!

...and I say: shoot into the east, mid afternoon. That's my favorite way to get brilliant blue skies! Yup.

polarizer and keep the sun to your back.

or you can fake it in photoshop later (if you lived in pittsburgh, this is your only option.) laughing.gif

I agree with Robin, a polarizer on a bright sunny day is your best friend in the whole world. One of the best filter you could buy. Be sure to pick up a circular polorizer so that you can rotate the filter how you need it!

so easy,

Manual mode
F11 or greater
Meter the sky (remember the shutter speed) 1/1000 for instance
Meter the subject (remember the shutter speed) 1/250 for instance

SPLIT the difference 1/500

Texas has some pretty blue, too:

ooo nice shot eric!

Scott at Soul Cam has a nice tip on his blog.

Use a tungsten filter on your fill flash and set your WB to tungsten... worked nicely wink.gif

good luck!

You can selectively pull the luminance down and/or saturation up on just the blue hue in Lightroom, photoshop, or other programs. I sometimes do this to give my images more pop without making the whole thing look oversaturated.

The other thing I regularly do is either use a polarizer or shoot with the sky a little underexposed and use fill-flash. Works beautifully.

HIS PAGE IS FIXED.

The virus is Gedza/A if you're using avg. The VB Script virus is EMBEDDED in his page. If you're using a Mac you should be safe as macs don't support vb script, and if you are browsing with firefox you should be marignally safe however. If you have visisted this website update your virus protection and run a full system scan. If you cannot update your virus scanner for some reason (subscription is out of date, not a legal version, etc) download AVG Antivirus free for windows from this link. After it installs run an update and then a full system scan.

If you have any questions please PM me about them or send me an email.

I will write a custom cleaning tool today and should it be necessary I can distribute it to you.

To the owner of this site: Please remove the vbscript code from your index page. If you need help please PM me and I will be more than happy to assist in removing this.

Oh come on, i've been tackling viruses/spyware/etc. for 6 years, it was great being the only kid in highschool who was self employed lol. The least I can do is help out a fellow photographer who got a pain in the butt virus.
