Well, the time has finally arrived! I'm moving back to Pennsylvania after 17 years out here in the glorious West. Leaving Phoenix tomorrow afternoon and heading to Denver to visit one of my best friends, then next week I'll take off for Pittsburgh, the place of my birth.

Got the car all packed up ... basically taking only what comfortably fits inside. I've made some awesome friends out here, like JT and Laura Siivola, who treated me to a night out at a Scottsdale wine bar. I'm going to miss them so much! We've had some great times together.

And back East I'll be ramping up for some exciting new ventures, and being close to my dear friend, Robin, will be sweet!

I have such mixed feelings, though. I'm sure many of you can relate. It's a big move, one I used to swear I would never make. Lots of uncertainties and expectations that can go in any number of unexpected directions. I'm excited, anxious, and nervous.

I'm going to try and keep my little cross-country adventure highlighted on my Blog over the next week. Those of you who know my Blog, know I love to write, so feel free to visit. Send me some encouraging words, and keep me in your thoughts and prayers as I do the very thing I thought I would never do!

Although I have never met you in person, I have really enjoyed your posts and checking out your blog. And I hope this doesn't sound wierd but I was looking forward to possibly running into you through OSP or other gatherings in AZ. I am actually moving from OR to AZ this summer (by way of Indiana and New York).

I look forward to watching your journey over your blog. I completely understand how you can have mixed emotions. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers for both your journey across country...and the journey that you will take in your head and heart as your sort out all of your uncertainties, expectations and directions.

Carey, I actually have been to SD. I love it there. In fact, I was considering moving there instead of Arizona, both in 1990 when I left NYC, and when I was heading back here from Denver in 2005. La Jolla is one of my favorite places!

Best wishes for safe travels!!!! Make sure you keep your camera in the passenger seat and make stops along the way...who knows what you'll capture out there.

I used to say I'd never come back to Delaware. And I meant it. Now I've learned to never use the word never. It bites back But after some bumps along the way, I'm very happy being back. The Lord has a plan for us and everything happens for a reason! I'm sure he has some great things in store for you.

Beth, I will definitely be keeping my camera nearby and ready. I would like to capture some shots along the way, and include them in my Blog posts.

It's funny, but I expected my plans to change, and today is proving to be a strange day, so I've already decided to delay my departure until tomorrow morning. It's just not going as I had hoped. Perhaps the story will be my next Blog entry. Things happen for a reason, so there is probably a good reason for the delay!

Just an update to let you all know I arrived in PA last Wednesday evening. Feels very odd being back here after 17 years ... I feel so unsettled! Haven't had much time to be on OSP or updating the Blog as I had hoped to do, and there is so much work to be done now. It's like starting all over again.

Robin has been amazing and so incredibly generous since my arrival. And of course, it was wonderful for me to be able to see her again! She is such a precious friend. Thank you, Robin!!

I had a great three days in Denver. Oneblankcanvas, so sorry I missed you while I was there. I left Denver on Tuesday, the 5th, and never saw your post until I got to PA. I have no doubt I'll be back there.

Adam, I was hoping to have time to hook up with you in Columbus, but once I got in your area I was racing the clock to get to Pittsburgh. Hopefully we can plan a get together sometime soon. Perhaps I can make the short drive back.
