iweb can not publish folder
.mac can not publish a site that uses index.html AND showit published with index.html
The conclusion:
Put your showit folder in the sites folder on your idisk.
Relable your index.html to something like showitindex.html (so .mac can read it)
Go to your iweb and put a link to your new show site (the one ending with showindex.html)
HOW EASY...well now that you know.
I hope this helps some of you.
go directly to see my site...this may help you see how to direct it....

Using another authoring tool
You can use any HTML authoring tool to create pages for your .Mac member site.
To use an HTML authoring tool other than HomePage:
1. Prepare your pages using the tool of your choice.
2. Copy the pages to the Sites folder within the Web folder on your iDisk. Or, if you have already created another .Mac site, create a new folder within the Sites folder on your iDisk, and then copy the completed site to this new folder.
If you name your start page index.html and place it at the top level of your Sites folder, your site's address is http://web.mac.com/yourmembername/.
IMPORTANT: HomePage uses index.html in the Sites folder as the start page for sites it creates. If you use HomePage to create a page, any other index.html you have placed in your Sites folder will be overwritten.
If you gave your start page a name other than index.html, or copied it to a subfolder within your Sites folder, be sure to include the name and path in your site's address. For example, if your start page is home.html in a folder named Kids inside your Sites folder within your Web folder, the address is http://web.mac.com/yourmembername/?Kids/home.html.
