I currently have the 85 F1.2L II...now I love this lens but I am starting to think that I might get more use out of the new 50 F1.2

Now here are my questions:

1.) For those of you who have used the 50 f1.2 is it A LOT better then the 1.4 version?

2.) For those of you who have used the 85 1.2 and the 50 1.2...which do you prefer and why?

Thanks to anyone who may have some insight.

Cheers.

The 50mm 1.2 is slower than the 1.4 at focusing, but it's much faster than the 85mm f/1.2. I was quite appalled at the lack of sharpness at f/1.4 compared to the 50mm f/1.4. Maybe I had a poorly assembled lens, as it wasn't an issue of backfocusing.

I choose 85mm over the 50mm any day because the telephoto perspective looks better when shooting wide open.
