I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who acknowledged my news and say thank you.

I hope I didn't appear ungracious, an extraordinary person in my heart passed away and I check out for just a little while.

Thanks for all of your graciousness and patience.

My condolences Marcia. As someone who has lost dear ones through untimely death, I am really sorry to hear that news. May God bless you with the peace only available through him. Again, I'm sorry.
Marcia
Thank you so much Dana.

I'm really pretty ok about it. He was very old, and I'll tell you, in the same way that some people have a perfect life, he had a perfect death.

He was 86 years young and although arthritis had caught up with him he tried so hard not to let it slow him down. He was in very good health and one night his heart just said enough, and it was enough.

He was a wonderful photographer, true to his beliefs, and an extraordinary father figure and friend. I was so lucky to have him in my life as long as I did.

Marcia...My deepest sympathy goes out to you. I can only imagine the pain one must feel in a time like this and my heart is lightened to hear that your friend had lived a good life and that you're doing ok with his passing on.

I'll pray for God's comfort on you and everyone who knew your friend.

His blessings,
David
Marcia
Thank you David...

Now, as for sympathy, I know my friend well enough that just about this time last week would have been when he would have been telling me to shake it off and get out there and make a difference, so let's all go out, have a drink in celebration of his life and photographic acheivements (and trust me, it was an acheivement bringing me up photographically!!!) and figure out how we can use our photography to make a difference (and I mean that very loosely *smile*.
