I'm curious how many of you digital shooters out there present slideshows at your weddings....and what sort of response have you had?

This is something I'm planning on doing but haven't yet.

I did my first slideshow about a month ago. Two days later I got a referral. I know the slide show definitely helped, so I say take the time and just do it

Actually, i waiting for ShowIt to kick the slideshow into full gear.

since I'm normally shooting alone I dont feel I have the time to set one up... but maybe I'm wrong.

When I second shoot for another guy here in town he will usually set one up (or I'll do it). We dont run any actions on the images or anything like Show It - we just take out the out takes.. and show the rest.. leave some cards by the computer that have instructions on how to log in after the wedding to see the whole thing.. I know it really works well for him and brides seem to really appreciate it.

You won't be dissapointed. I just used it on two weddings this past weekend and they absolutely rocked. Fantastic work DJ. I bet you saved me about 2/3rds the time I normally take to do my slideshows.

We've always shown slideshows and it's been awesome.

Plus....it's kinda an ego boost.

I used to be the biggest anti-slideshow photographer out there. Then DJ talked me into trying it. Since, then I have bought 2 more powerbooks for my staff. The shows have become the hit of the parties. I have even had a groom grab me and kiss my head. Now that is powerful.

Is this a little market research eh???
