I'm looking for a quick recycling flash. I want to be able to shoot a frame a second with the same power output of my sb 600 at half power.

I was looking at a Sunpak 383 with the sunpak batterypack (TR-Pak IIa). I saw the Quantum QB1+ and another SB-600 but that's a tad expensive. I was looking for a total solution under $250 preferably under $200.

I don't need auto anything, I just need it to have the good ole 518 hotshoe that'll trigger,and Preferably a 2 second recycle for a full power hit.

Also does anyone have a great resource that explains what the flash guide numbers and that sort of stuff means? I'd really like to be able to understand them so that I don't have to bother you guys with this sort of thing.
