this may sound like a bizarre question - but i cannot figure out how to print correctly in cs2 - i have always printed through aperture but am finding it cumbersome, but, it is easy to set up and select my border size, etc.

so i started printing through photoshop today and i tell you, i am noticing a huge difference in my prints - but, i cannot figure out how to set my margins? my prints are coming out wiht a very thin margin, instead of the usual thicker one i prefer - i have looked and looked and looked again but there is no place to set my margin? smashpc.gif

am i losing my mind? can someone help me out?

thanks in advance,

tami

What size print are you printing versus what size paper are you using? It sounds like you are just not using the correct size paper for the print size you want if you want a larger margin.

One thing you may be doing accidentally, is in the print dialog box clicking on "Scale to Fit Media" (or it could be default turned on). This would cause the image to fit to the paper size you have loaded (larger or smaller) rather than staying the size that you chose in Photoshop. This would definitely decrease your borders/margins.

you should check your photoshop defaults, even try bridge to print! thats what i use and i never have any problems with my borders being snipped here and there, or the famous one side is good and the other is eaten in half!

ps. when you said u noticed a big change in print, do you mean the colours or just the border as before you print you should always convert to cmyk for best results.
