So...I think I'm finally getting it all together...in large part that's why I've been so MIA lately. I'm excited to be back.

wow! your website, blog, and pictures are incredible! i love the blue and brown ... those are actually my colors, too!

the only thing i wanted to add was that the slideshow with pics and text went too fast for me to read them. i had to let it cycle through several times in order to get it all. but once i did, i thought it was great!

I had mixed feelings about the same blue background for the blog, and wondered what it might look like in a much lighter shade of blue ... a soft pastel. But if you love it, then it's perfect!!

Lindsey! Those colors are getting so popular. I'm sure yours looks great, too! Thanks for checking it out and giving me some feedback. Are you talking about the slideshow that's titled THE LOVE or the opening slideshow? With the one that is THE LOVE you just have to click on the thumbnails and it will stop the slideshow. I probably need to figure out some way to tell people that's what they can do so they don't have to try and read it like it's a merry go round of pictures or something.


Katie and Chris. You two are so awesome! Thanks for checking it out! I'm sure you can tell that I got some of the inspiration for my site from you. I totally loved your testimonials section of your site. And although I have a different template company I tweaked it so I could have a similar idea. Hope that's okay...

Bruce. hmmm....a lighter shade of blue...that's definitely something to consider. Are you thinking that the blue takes away from the images or that it's just too blue or that it's too much? I appreciate you looking. I definitely want to make it the best it can be so I'd love to hear more of your insight on the blue.

Davina, I don't think anything can take away from your beautiful images!

And keep in mind I was referring only to the blog ... the website is gorgeous. I was simply curious what a much lighter, pastel blue would look like as the background. While the current blue matches the logo color, my first reaction was that it was too much of that shade of blue, sort of overwhelming to the eye. Yet I know this is very subjective. However, it may not work well considering the other elements, such as the lighter blue boxes around your menu and text areas.

It's great to see how well everything is going for you, with the new studio, new website, new blog ... congratulations!

Davina, WOW! What an awesome showcase of your images! Awesome!
I love, love, love how user friendly it is too. The images are paced pefectly, and the viewer can instantly jump to where ever they want. I think it has to be the easiest site to navigate that I have seen, and that is a huge plus!

Your images are incredible, and everything about the web site is fabulous!

Two things though,
(1) is there something wrong with the music? I could see it playing but couldn't hear it? I tried a bunch of things but never heard it.
(2) is there no link for the blog on the web site? I didn't see it, maybe I missed it?

Okay...one thing...I had the same problem with the "love" page...I wanted to read the raves but didn't know (until you said so in this post) that the slideshow could be paused so I could read them. I think your potential customers might not be as dumb as me...but you might consider slowing down the slideshow so that the non-Evelyn Woods types could learn all about you!

yes, that is what i meant. the idea was wonderful, and i thought it added such a personal touch as well as a great marketing message ... i just didn't know to click on the thumbnails.
