I am having a serious issue that didn't happen before. I am trying to run an action through image processor that adds my copyright and the word "proof" to be border of my 4x6 proofs. PShop does everything right up to saving the file as a JPEG in the folder I specify, but then I see an error that reads, "I couldn't process these files..." and it lists them. The files that it can't process, are either the RAW images I am processing, or even PSD files that I am processing. What that means is that after it ran the action and saved the JPEG properly, it can't close the original files that it got from Bridge.

My concern is that if I run the batch of 259 images, the computer is going to crash because of the all the RAW and PSD files that will remain open in PShop. Your help is urgently needed and appreciated. I need to get these proofs sent to WHCC tonight, cuz the client is picking them up on Fri. Please help!!.

BTW, I am running CS3 on my MacBook Pro. I have run actions through image processor before, on this same machine and on CS3 with no issues (well other issues).

What gives???

I run the other actions to sharpen and add the border and everything is fine. Then I run the action that adds the copyright and the word "proof" to the image, and everything is fine. But if I run the sharpen, border, and proof actions within the same process, then PShop can't close the file after it's done.

It's a workaround, but now I am going to have to do this in 2 steps. If anyone knows that this is about, please let me know. Thanx for your help.

It's not a hd space issue is it?

Nope, I have about 50Gb of free space on the drive this is running on. What is strange is that if I run the 1st actions in batch, and then I run the proof action separate on the results from the 1st batch, it's fine. But as soon as I run the 1st actions and the proof action at the same time, then I get this issue. Very strange.

Unless there is a limit of how many other actions and action can run. Hmmm??
