Full Version: Burning a VIEWABLE ONLY Cd

Hey again.....

I'm in a pinch. Need to make a CD of "viewable only" images. I have resized them to a web size and have my © symbol on them... but... I'd rather them not be able to print them. (even though as is, they won't get a very good printed image) Also, is there a way to © the file itself? (encrypting of some sort?? make sense?) Just trying to see what all my options are for protecting my images.

Thanks......

(oh, i'm a mac user if that makes any difference with the process)

Is havin © on them not enough protection for you?

You can buy watermark protection license, they will be able to see the images, but when they print them, the watermark will be printed over.

laughing.gif Oops.. LOL. Yes... the current way I've been doing things with my logo/© is sufficient enough for me... I was looking for an alternative to having to mark over each image with my ©. i want them to be able to see their images w/o my name all over them. I thought if I could either do a "view only" cd (avoid right click/draggin) or do an encryption of the file itself, then I would try to do that instead... not ALL of these things together. That would be overkill. LOL. Sorry. I didn't make myself clear.

Once the file is visible on the screen (be it from CD or the web) you have absolutely no control on what the person can do with the image. Forget any "anti right click" methods. If you show it, he/she has it, end of story. You can come up with many mad ideas none will prevent a simple screenshot. Just make sure you include low resolution so they look bad printed and add your copyright.
Sorry

Click on File>info to add copyright to the meta data. You can set up an action for this. I usually create a new one each time though so I can also add details. Like Jeanette on 5_22_07 or what ever.

I know.. people are creative and they always seem to find a way to push the limits etc. I just want to burn a disc that's viewable.. that's all. Thanks so much for the good advice!

Cheers!
