Full Version: Anybody want a barely-used Shootsac?

I got my shootsac and tried it out for the first time today.

It's just not going to fit my style of shooting.

I can go thru a whole session with one lens, and I'm not shooting for a whole day where I'd want multiple lenses for different settings.

I don't use a flash or a pocket wizard. At most, my shootsac would hold one lens, some CF cards, my cell phone, car keys, and that's it.

With just one lens in there, it's sorta off balance. And I wasn't able to switch lenses without putting something down. That's not good for me w/beach sessions.

I can totally see how it would be fabulous for a wedding photographer, or a walk-about kind of e-session. It's just not a good fit for my kinds of family beach sessions.

SO, does anyone want a shootsac that's only been used for 1 20-min session? It doesn't have a customer cover, just the black standard one.

If you want it, click this button and pay for it, and I'll get it shipped out to you.

Once someone pays for it, this button will give an error that says "this invoice has already been paid", so no worries about paying for something that's already been sold. If you get to a PayPal payment page, that means it's still available. If you get the error, it means someone already got it.

This is the button I use for my Mini sessions, so that's why it says "reserve", but it'll take you to PayPal where you can pay $165 for the shootsac & shipping. I shipped off the 2nd shootsac I bought to Kelly, so I don't have the shipping box any more sad.gif I'll have to find/buy one to fit it & ship it to the buyer.

Let me know if you have any quetions,
Carey

Hey Carey

I really want to buy something like this for Samantha. How is the shootsac different then another type of bag? Could I just buy an expensive bag and put in my own padding?

And how many lens do you think you have to put in the bag to make it effective?

I tired to find posts or threads that show what it's like, and I couldn't find any quickly...

But you can check out Jess's blog & the shootsac blog.

http://www.jessicaclaire.net/

It's not a full-on camera bag really. It's neoprene with vertical sections. Each section can hold a lens, a flash, a pocket wizard, or misc stuff.
Each section is about as big as a 70-200IS lens. That lens fits in one section and pops out of the top just a bit.
There are 6 vert. sections, and the way the sections are sewn, the bag hugs your hip or booty instead of being a big bulky square bag.

i am very interested! how much did you pay for it originally?

I love that it is not a camera bag....why should I not but a regular non-camera bag and thrown in a few towels? I guess that is what I was getting at.

Just another reason why I should have gone to WPPI.

It was about $150 + shipping (I think they charged me shipping; but I honestly can't remember & I can't get to my WPPI receipts right now). I'm going to have to get a box to ship it, and I was going to ship it 2-day air, so I'm not making any $$$ on this.

Hey Carey!
I just wanted to let you know I received the shootsac today - just in time for a wedding tomorrow & I am so thrilled! Thank you so much! It will definitely work for me - (especially since I also just sliced open the very bottom of my foot last night, so I'm limping, and i'm also 5 1/2 months pregnant- it will greatly serve it's purpose tomorrow!)

I want one too! If anybody else gets one and decides it isn't right for you, I'd love to take it off your inventory list, so to speak.
