I was shooting with my S3 and my newly found (another story) 85mm 1.8 lens outside earlier, and suddenly my camera would not auto focus and allow me to shoot - the shutter would not release!!! In a panic, I had to grab my back-up S2 to go to a shoot, and that went fine. I'm home now, and while I've gotten the shutter to release, the camera's focus will not change at all. It makes a sound like it tries to, but nothing happens. I've switched out all my lenses and it's the case with them all, so it's an issue with the camera. I've put them on my S2 (with all the exact same settings as the S3), and all is well. I'm very confused!!! Anyone have any suggestions??? unsure.gif I have 4 shoots this week, and I'm in a panic...

Thanks for any help!

It sound like your s3 needs to go into the shop. The only thing I can think of is the lever underneath the button to remove the lens is inbetween S & C or M. It is the only thing I can think of.

Good thing you have a backup. If you are thinking of getting the s5 I love mine!
