I had such a blast shooting today's wedding!! It was for Amanda and Tim at a private home in the Simi Valley area, right next door to the Regan Library.... seriously, it was the next driveway, and it was AMAZING!!!!

Anyway, check out and let me know what you think!

Wow Tim!! Gorgeous..... just gorgeous!

You did an amazing job. I love that song that played during the slideshow.
I love the shots of the bride crying during the ceremony. I love all of the pictures... wub.gif

Tim, this wedding was stunning! My favorite shot might be the "side/back" view of the ceremony. Very theatrical!

The images are wondeful Tim! The body language is perfect on the dip shot, possibly the best I have seen. I 'm guessing that you didn't do much post because it is ready so fast but a lot of the images feel too dark. Knowing how great your post work is, I think the darkness hurts the images a little. Even the dip shot is flat and dark, and I trust that you will make that image sing by the time you are done with it.

Thanks for all the great comments guys.

And Frank, thanks for being super honest... yeah, these are just real quick straight out of the camera images... I think 3 from cheryl's camera she adjusted, the rest I took straight away.

I'll post up when I get the images tweaked for you guys to see the final thing.

Frank glad to see your honesty.

Tim,

Do you shoot in AV mode? JUst wondering why your images were on the dark side out of camera?
Tim Halberg
Nope... no AV for me. I shoot everything manual and underexpose pretty much all of my images on purpose.

For sure Bro! (thanks Charles too) I would hope for the same from you when I go too far, or not far enough.

Can't wait to see them! The dip one would be great for that before/after post that resurfaces every once in awhile.
Jasmine
Yes, but Tiim failed to mention he underexposes on purpose because of his Raw presets...after he uses something like DJ's [b]rilliant settings (just hypothetically speaking of course), the picture will be the perfect color while still maintaining the sky color.

Loved the slideshow! wub.gif

Jasmine,

Okay I am little confused. What RAW preset are you referring to?
Jasmine
Hi Charles!
DJ sells his Raw Action Presets through the ShowIt store. The one I'm referring to specifically is his action "[b]rilliant". And I'm not sure if they're necessarily called presets if you will...they're just DJ's actions that he applies to his Raw images before converting them to jpeg. I hope this helps! smile.gif

No - you correctly expose all your images. If you didn't, you would lose the sky and the dress.

The final image is a product of having both the correct in-camera exposure and the correct post-processing (as I have been saying).

(That being said - I wouldn't show unprocessed images - at least batch them through a proofing action.)

Good coverage Tim. Creative as always.

And the underexposed bit has been covered already, so I'm not going to bother commenting on that portion.
